1. How does your private tutoring service work?

Once you contacts us, we will ask you some questions and offer to meet you for a free consultation. This enables us to get an idea of your or your child’s exact challenges and goals. Next, we put together a bespoke learning programme that suits these challenges and goals and is 100% matched to you. Once booked, your hand-selected personal tutor starts teaching in the comfort of your home, another location convenient for you or online.

1. How does your private tutoring service work?

Über Tutors is based in London and our home tutors typically commute up to Zone 4. Thereafter, we still do our very best to match you with a personal tutor, so do contact us even if you are based further out. Additionally, we offer all private tutoring services online in order to tutor UK-wide.

3. Are your personal tutors DBS-checked?

All our tutors who teach students under the age of 18 undergo an enhanced DBS check. This helps employers like us make safer recruitment decisions and prevent unsuitable people from working with children. Additionally, we train all our tutors to ensure they follow our protocols and implement the bespoke learning programme discussed with you in your complimentary consultation. Our management team is also always on hand in case you need anything.

4. How much are your tutoring fees?

We are the only private tutoring service provider in London that offers both standard and subsidised rates to accommodate students and families of lower income backgrounds. We believe in being the best mentoring and tutoring service in London and beyond, and would like this service to be accessible to all.

Standard rates: Our rates are hourly and vary according to your or your child’s subject, level, difficulty and location. Since we provide a wide range of tutoring and mentoring services (from primary school to postgraduate degree courses), contact us to find out the exact rates for your or your child’s personal tutoring needs.

Subsidised rates: We offer our discounted rates to families of lower income backgrounds and university students with education debt or loans. To make use of our discounted rates, we only need simple documentation and you can receive up to 30% off our personal tutoring service. Your documents will be handled confidentially and will only be seen by management and accounts. We provide the exact same quality private tutoring service regardless of our clients’ income background.

5. Does your private tutoring service cover all subjects and courses?

Yes, we definitely try to accommodate all tutoring needs. We hire and hand-select a team of tutors and mentors in all subjects and levels, from primary school to university degree courses. Once you contact us and we discuss your specific needs, we will do our best to match you with one of our top tutor. If we do not have someone on our team who tutors your subject, we are happy to go the extra mile and suggest another private tutoring service that might be able to help.

6. What does ‘über’ mean in your name?

As you may well know, ‘über’ is of German origin and often used amongst English youth. It means ‘super’, ‘amazing’, ‘top’ etc. depending on the given context. So, we are ‘über’ tutors because we are a leading tutoring service like no other as we strive to make high-quality tutoring accessible and affordable to all.

At Über Tutors, we incorporate well-balanced teaching and mentor our students every step of the way towards their education goals. We also provide an array of other services outside of private tutoring, including quality career consultation for university students, new graduates and law students seeking acceptance into law firms. We are experts in the UK education system and support international students and parents in navigating it, so they become acquainted with the system.
